Why It Matters
Professional Pressure Washing in the Fox Valley
Fox Valley winters are hard on concrete. Road salt and sand get tracked up the driveway all season, snowmelt leaves a gray film on walks and steps, and by spring most driveways look a few shades darker than they should. Shaded patios and north-side walks pick up green algae and moss that get slick when wet. Pavers collect dirt in the joints, and wood decks and fences turn gray and blotchy after a few years in the weather.
A good pressure wash takes all of that off and brings hard surfaces back to their original color. It also makes them safer to walk on, and it gives you a clean starting point if you plan to seal pavers or stain a deck. For businesses, a clean sidewalk and entryway is the first thing customers see before they reach the door.
Driveways, Patios, Decks and Commercial Flatwork
Driveways and sidewalks. Concrete can take real pressure, but it still needs even, overlapping passes. A wand waved back and forth leaves stripes and swirl marks. We work the surface in a consistent pattern so the whole slab comes out one even color.
Patios and pavers. Pavers get cleaned at a pressure that lifts dirt and growth without blasting out the joint sand or etching the face of the stone. We adjust for older or softer pavers and let you know if the joints will need re-sanding afterward.
Decks and fences. Wood and composite need a much lighter touch. High pressure on cedar or pine raises the grain and leaves fuzzy, gouged boards. We drop the pressure, use a wider spray and work with the grain. If you're planning to stain or seal, a clean deck is the right first step.
Commercial flatwork. Storefront sidewalks, entryways and dumpster pads take a beating from foot traffic, gum, spills and grease. We clean them on a schedule that works around your business hours. See our commercial services for more.
When Pressure Is Right, and When It Isn't
Pressure washing is the right tool for hard, durable surfaces: concrete, pavers, brick walkways and, at low settings, wood. It's the wrong tool for your house siding and your roof. High pressure can force water behind vinyl siding, crack stucco, strip paint and knock the granules off asphalt shingles. For those surfaces we use soft washing, which relies on low pressure and a cleaning solution to kill algae and mildew instead of blasting them off. Many customers book both in one visit: soft wash the house, pressure wash the driveway and walks.
What Affects Price
Every job is quoted up front, for free
Square footage
A two-car driveway and front walk is a different job than a full patio, pool deck and back walks. Bigger areas take more time.
Surface type
Concrete, pavers, brick and wood each need a different pressure and technique. Wood and older pavers take more care.
Condition and staining
Heavy algae, moss, rust or oil staining takes longer than routine dirt and may need pre-treatment.
Access
Steps, tight side yards, fenced areas and how far the work is from a water spigot all play a part.

Cleaning the House Too?
Siding and roofs should never be pressure washed. We clean them with soft washing and can do both in the same visit.
How It Works
Our 4-Step Process
From the first look at the surface to the final rinse, here's what happens on every pressure washing job.
Walk the Surface
We look at what the surface is made of, how it's stained, and what's around it. Concrete, pavers and wood each get a different pressure and technique.
Prep & Protect
Doors and windows nearby get closed, furniture and planters get moved, and loose debris gets swept off so it isn't blasted across the yard.
Wash with Even Passes
Flatwork is cleaned with consistent, overlapping passes so you don't end up with stripes. Wood gets lower pressure and a wider fan to avoid furring the grain.
Rinse & Walkthrough
We rinse everything down, including nearby siding and walkways, then walk the job with you so you can see the result before we pack up.
